Featured Project: Efficient Renewable Motor Fuel at Scale
Transportation has proven to be the most difficult sector in which to curb emissions. One of our companies, ATVOS is the second largest producer of renewable ethanol fuel for vehicles.
Seventy percent of the cars in Brazil use ethanol. ATVOS produces ethanol in the most efficient way—from sugar cane. In terms of emissions, the ethanol Atvos produces from cane is the equivalent to 1.5 million electric vehicles.
ATVOS grows and harvests the sugar cane, processes it into ethanol in our industrial plants, and sends it on to the ultimate consumer for use as motor fuel.
